Paragraph

The Summer Season

Summer is the hottest season of the year. In our country, it generally begins in April and ends in June. Now,the sun shines very brightly. The weather remains hot. Ponds and ditches dry up. Sometimes storm and rain occur towards evening. It brings temporary relief. from the hot condition. Men suffer from different diseases now. Schools and colleges remain closed because of hot weather. Students enjoy summer vacation now. But summer is not all bad. Many fruits like mangoes, lichies, jackfruits, black-berries grow much now. Festivals like Chaitra Sankranti. Basanti puja, etc. are celebrated now.

Spring

Of all the seasons. I like spring most. It starts in February and continues upto the first week of April. The weather remains very fine. It is neither too cold nor too hot. A gentle breeze blows from the south. The sky is very clear. So the sun shines brightly. Plants and trees put on new leaves. Singing birds like cuckoo sing very sweetly. Various kinds of flowers bloom and different kinds of festivals are observed in spring. But diseases like chickenpox and measles break out. This is the only disadvantage of the season.

The Rainy Season

The rainy season comes after summer. It starts in June and continues upto September. The weather is very hot and humid. The sky is generally covered with clouds. It rains now and then. Sometimes it rains with thunder and lightning. Ponds. ditches, canals, rivers and fields are full of water. Village-roads become muddy and slippery. Sometimes floods occur. Diseases like dysentery and diarrhoea break out. Farmers cultivate their land happily. Fruits like guava. pine-apple, etc. grow much now.

My favourite festival

Diwali is my favourite festival. It is the festival of lights; it is celebrated in all parts of our country. A few days before Diwali, people clean their houses and shops and get them whitewashed. On Diwali day, people decorate their houses. On the night of Diwali, lamps are lit in every village, town and city. All the houses, shops and buildings are illuminated with earthen lamps, candles and electric bulbs. Children move about in their best clothes. People exchange sweets and gifts. Children spend money in buying sweets, toys and crackers. At night people worship ‘Laxmi’, the goddess of wealth. Diwali is a festival of joy. On this day everyone is happy.

My Hobby

My favourite hobby is singing. I want to become a singer when I grow up. I go to music classes everyday to improve my vocals. I also learned to play guitar. Singing is the secret to my energy. It requires both skill and passion to sing.I love to sing because it makes me happy. It lifts my spirits. Whenever I sing in front of people,it increases my self confidence. My ambition in life is to become a very good singer. I have learned about breath control, audience awareness and many other factors that affect the quality of singing. I love singing more than anything else.
